We’ve known about Jupiter and its moons since Galileo first identified them in 1610, but Jupiter’s familiar stripes and swirls (actually cold, windy clouds of ammonia and water, floating in an atmosphere of hydrogen and helium) are now made gorgeously clear by NASA.
